The text discusses an early book of proverbs attributed to Itah-hotep, dated at least 300 B C. It notes Abraham leaving Ur in 1921 B C and places the deluge around 2348 B C, arguing the papyrus predates the flood and that Methuselah’s birth in 3317 B C shows the collection being made when the oldest man is about 600 years old.
