Farmers confirm severe hailstorm in the eastern county last evening. Corn and small grain suffered damage with corn hit hardest. The storm stayed confined to a narrow band near Wakonda and Valins, not spanning the whole county.
In Chaco on July 7 States Attorney Grinnell asked to reexamine the last five jurors sworn in the hoodie trial. Judge Jamison insisted the state prove any claim that Tate Ostrander and Parks were not legitimate jurors before any action could be taken.

In Nelsonville Ohio on July 7 Louis Andrews age 13 and Nerman Viddler age 14 were found dead under furnace scales in Buchtel at about 6 am. Authorities believe they hid during a game and were suffocated by escaping gas from the furnace.
George Neurich, freed after ten years for murder, stabbed juror Samuel Drumbeller at Sellins Grove. Drumbeller helped convict Neurich. Neurich is now at large.
A fire at the Terrell Mills owned by Greenwood and Mecklenhan burned this morning in Youngstown Ohio along with the adjoining storehouse. Loss estimated at 19000 dollars with light insurance. The blaze started in the incendiary fashion.
Thus far the Nuronite seems to have the better of Judge Spencer with the lat ter in danger of getting laughed at.
