Reply to Ex Grand Master Smith by Mitchell Lodge
Mitchell Lodge of the A O U W in Mitchell South Dakota condemns Ex Grand Master Smith for his letter in the Daily Republican dated December 16 1993. The lodge asserts South Dakota laws on beneficiary and guaranty funds and classified assessments were misrepresented and warns members the changes may be adopted later by the Supreme Lodge. The committee notes prior remarks by Smith praising current rates and defense of the order and asks members to judge his current criticism as aimed at gaining new members for a rival fraternal group. Resolution adopted January 19 1904 and distributed to all lodge members.
