A proposal plan by Republican representatives elected under the defunct 1915 primary act calls for a conference in Washington to outline a state delegation for the Chicago national convention on June 7. The aim is to maintain party harmony, decide on candidates, and determine if delegates will back a preferred presidential nominee or await further confirmation.
