Prep schools barred from athletics in Minnesota conference
Minnesota schools face possible loss of conference membership as a new rule bars preparatory students from competition. The measure, backed by several colleges, would affect Yankton and Huron, with several members threatening departure if enforced. A contingency amendment allows science schools to join membership. Wilds opposed the rule, saying it would not greatly affect some colleges. The conference also wrestled with annual meet locations and officer elections.
