City Council Sells Refunding Bonds at Low Rate
Mitchell city council held its regular session Monday with Mayor Fullerton presiding. Ten bids were opened for the 19500 refunding bonds. Minnesota Loan and Trust Co. submitted the lowest bid at 4 percent interest with a 100 dollar premium. W. A. Durst attended and vouched for approval by the company. Other business covered police court results and city finances. The council rescinded a long distance telephone revenue, then granted five years of free street use in exchange for the company’s lines. they postponed electric light bills and discussed artesian well progress, adjourned to January.

Mitchell High School Meets University Third Eleven on Snowy Grid
Mitchell High School faced the University third team in a season closer on a snow covered field with a northwest wind. DU dominated scoring six touchdowns in the first half and four more in the second, while Wells, Harris and Reid starred in DU backs and James and Miner stood out for the high school.
