Mitchell Robbery Breaks Local Calm in Cafe Holdup
In Mitchell, two masked men robbed the Plakington cafe at 11:30 pm while about 15 patrons were present. The taller robber looted the counter and safe, with total haul around 274 dollars as bar and diners fled, and shots were exchanged with citizens outside. Police later pursued clues, found overcoats and skeleton keys, and debated the sufficiency of a single night watch for a town of 1000.
