McBride Trial Concludes As Defense Opens Its Case

The McBride trial finished its plaintiff evidence with Dr Warne and others testifying. Witnesses recounted threats to burn or seize the printing plant and a demand for McBride’s body by Col Boynton, while McBride described his office, assets, and fear for his life. The defense prepares to present its side after a Thanksgiving adjournment.

Thanksgiving Day in Court Sees McBride Stand Again

On Thursday morning McBride testified as Attorn ey Kittredge argued to exclude certain lines of questioning. The judge ruled the bill was admissible and McBride could answer. McBride claimed the sale bill predated actions and showed ownership by another party, as the defense argued the transfer merged into the document. He said the disposal of the Mail plant aimed to prevent tumult and protect property.
