Moody Divorce Granted After Cruelty and Drunkenness

Tuesday Judge Haney granted a divorce to Mrs. Margaret Moody of Sanborn from Johnathan Moody on grounds of extreme cruelty and habitual drunkenness. The husband once beat her with a board while intoxicated. The court awarded custody of the six children to the wife.

Railroad Officials Tour Northwestern Line Prefers Passenger Run

A party led by General Superintendent Scott of the Northwestern visits Sioux Falls and Mitchell aboard a Milwaukee line car. They tour company property and crops, urging an exclusive passenger run between Sioux Falls and Mitchell as freight traffic grows. Agent McKinley denies plans for a new passenger train but notes schedule changes may bring the current accommodation train to Mitchell at night and depart in the morning.
