Farrell opens real estate office in Chalkstone building

J. D. Farrell, secretary of the Interstate Land Co., moved his household goods from Chamberlain to Mitchell and rented east Flint street residence. He has secured the Chalkstone building next to the Grand Opera house for an office and plans improvements. His land lists cover surrounding counties.

Central Dakota Telephone planned to connect Brookings to Pierre

A new Central Dakota Telephone company forms to build a line from Brookings to Pierre with branches to key towns. Pleasant Bicycle Party Enjoys River Ride and Dance

A group of twenty young ladies and gentlemen organized a Thursday bicycle party. They rode to the river, dined at Hoon's restaurant, rode again, and ended at Miss Doty Weller's home on West Fourth Street for hours of games and dancing. The event concluded with high spirits and plans to continue similar outings this season.
