James Leslie Dead at Minneapolis Home
James Leslie died at his son’s home in Minneapolis, announced by the Minneapolis Journal. He had long been frail and retired from work after running a cobbler and grain business in Mitchell. He moved from Perry township to Mitchell in 1879, was a devout Methodist and YMCA associate, and five of his children died of diphtheria. His exact age is estimated around 75, with uncertain plans for return of the body to Mitchell.
