Holiness Summer Campmeeting Dates Planned at Riverside

The South Dakota State Holiness Association will hold its annual camp meeting June 27 to July 7, 1912, on the Riverside R R station grounds near Mitchell. Rev C J Fowler and Rev C I Weigele will be the evangelists. The association plans a large wooden tabernacle for 1913 with the National Holiness Association to hold its camp meeting there, inviting all to attend.

Marriage at Mount Lowe After Father’s Ashes Funeral

Miss Hattie Rose Laurie of Huron and A N Seward wed at Inspiration Point Mount Lowe in a midnight ceremony after Laurie scattered her father’s ashes. The bride, once a noted political speaker in the state, had previously faced rumors of engagements with Clark senator Laurie and a Californian fruit grower. Her father’s death preceded the marriage.

Nominating Petitions Filed for Thorson and Carson

Two more petitions were filed with the secretary of state on Saturday. Thomas Thorson seeks renomination as National Committeeman for the Republican party, and Dighton Carson seeks re election to the supreme court.
