Entertainment by Methodist church ladies at Chamberlain Opera House

An enjoyable well attended program last night featured vocal and instrumental performances by local women except Mrs Ward and sister from Kimball. The Mozart male chorus impressed, the Peak Sisters provided humor, traveling salesmen Gerinstein and Greenbaughm visited, and the river fell seven feet leaving the Milwaukee steamer on dry land awaiting launch.

Brookings College Elects Officers and Plans Addition

Brookings officials announce the new Brookings college board has elected President M V Miller and Treasurer George Morehouse. Architect Lee of Des Moines, who designed the original buildings, met with the board on the proposed season addition. Hon G A Mathews received a warm welcome on his return from Iowa. C W Hastings, the new postmaster, was the sole voter for John R Wilson two years ago.
