Annual Conference of the M. B. Church South Sermon and Methods
A large audience heard Rev. J. S. Jenkins of Springfield deliver the annual undergraduate sermon at the M. B. Church South. The event featured ornate decorations by the Epworth League and included hymns, prayers, and scripture from Jeremiah 1 19. The Southwest Missouri Conference met Sept. 25 1901 with Bishop W A Candler presiding, discussing devotional services, love as core, and church reform. Committees and admissions were announced, with 114 ministers present and multiple reports referred to committees.
