Deaths of John E K Motter at 57 in Marshall
John E K Motter died Friday at his home 526 North English aged 57 after cancer. He had worked at the tee plant and could not work for a year but was up Thursday. Funeral from the residence Sunday at 2 pm with burial in Ridge Park. Motter, born in Indiana and educated at Indianapolis deaf and dumb school, was deaf and dumb. he came to Marshall twelve years ago. He is survived by his wife and two children.

Mrs Margaret Sanger died at the home of her son-in-law Joe M Brown five miles east of Marshall at jy m May 2. She was 74 years old. Born in Elbe Germany she came to America in 1857. She married Joseph Sanger on June 12, 1862 at age 25. Survived by four daughters Mrs Kate Steffin Saline county Mrs Mary Bowan Cooper county Mrs Rova Brown and Mrs Margaret Brown Baline county.

The Marshall Board of Education met Monday night May 12 approving teacher re elections at Kaetwood West Eastwood and high school. Row at Nelson Ends With Shootings and Arrests
A Saturday evening dispute at Nelson between Wade Higginbottham and the Thomas family escalated with Wade struck by a scale weight and Jack Higginbottham shot in the lower body. Lafe Thomas was wounded by pistol fire. Deputy sheriffs arrested Will Thomas and three sons. they await preliminary trial on Friday May 16. State Shoot Grand Missouri Shooting Tournament Planned

Barn Burned at Nelson, Likely Arson Suspected
