Mrs Francis Hains died at Napton Saturday, May éth, following her husband to the better world about a month. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Sunday at 3:30 p.m. She was described as a splendid Christian lady.

Miss Matilda McClain of Little Rock Dies at 75
Miss Matilda McClain of Little Rock died Sunday night May 7 at 9 p m from paralysis started Sunday afternoon. Born near Little Rock on November 11, 1835 she was 75 years five months and twenty six days old. She leaves a brother Elijah McClain and several other relatives. Her remains were laid to rest in the Sappington Bay near Little Rock. Our New Home correspondent reports the death of William King of near Elmwood.

H. M. Hardester of Slater, an engineer on the C and A, was struck by a loose door on a passing train while on his locomotive at Alma Monday and died the next day from injuries after never regaining consciousness. He was about ages not stated.
