Death of George J. Christman Agriculturist
George J. Christman 47 a prominent agriculturist living near the college hanged himself in a barn on Tuesday noon after leaving home to settle matters he feared financial. Mrs Christman found the body and local physicians and a coroner were called the coroner declined an inquest. He was survived by his wife two daughters and several siblings. Funeral services were announced for Friday at 2 PM with burial at Ridge Park Parise Walker in charge.

Wreck on the C. and A derailment delays trains
An outbound west freight on the C and A derailed Tuesday evening about 730 PM. Three or four cars were damaged but no injuries reported.
