Death notice honors B Frank Hens a longtime neighbor and church member. Rev A Sterling conducted services with many friends present. Survived by wife five children and several brothers, funeral arranged by Paria Walker with burial in local area.
Mrs Nellie Miller aged 34 wife of John Miller died at home on South Redman after a few hours illness. She was born in Saline, lived in Marshall since 1907, and leaves two daughters aged eight and two. Surviving relatives include parents Austin and Mrs Smith and siblings. Funeral at Pia6b church Elmwood, burial Pisgah cemetery with many friends in attendance.
William Burk Lynch aged 49 died at his home on South Benton Monday February 29 at 7:40 p m after a prolonged cancer illness. He had battled sickness for a year or two and was not bedfast until about two months ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p m from the residence at Ridge.
Mrs Ollie Davin Davis aged about 40 wife of Joe B Davis died Tuesday February 24 at 10 a m of breast cancer. She had been ill for years and bedridden recently. Survived by husband and seven children. Born Adame, daughter of the late J P Adame, at Napton neighborhood home where mother and Miss Mattia Adama live. Community mourns a loving wife mother and neighbor.
Elizabeth Urton aged twelve years three months died February 16 at 1 30 am at home two and a half miles southwest of Mt Leonard. Cause apoplexy. Funeral held February 21 at Blackburn Christian church conducted by Rev Down with strong community support. Distanced relatives attended from Sedalia Fayette Warrensburg and nearby.
William Lucas aged 65 died at his Pennyville home February 17. His burial occurred at Pine Creek last Friday. His wife had died just one week earlier, marking a double bereavement for the family.
Allie Brown wife of Dave Brown died at her home in Kansas City on February 19 and was buried at Miami on the 20th. Remains were later brought to Marshall and transported overland to Miami due to the river being frozen at Miami.
Wilson Buckner an aged colored citizen of Marshall died at his home on the corner of West and Brunswick last Friday at 4 p m He had been unable to work since last summer.
With the return of the Reginal Bank Committee to Washington last week, active work began on defining geographic Units of its reserve districts and selecting cities for the banks. It is understood that banks will be established in New York, Chicago and St. Louis, reserve centers under present conditions.
On February 16 1914 Mise Davie Mullins wed Karl Farris of Boonville Mo at the Mullins home with Rev Barrett of Milam Methodist Church performing. The bride known for her pretty face wore white. groom a naval style black. Best man Boyd Mullins and bridesmaid Grace Fastin attended as guests celebrated with a feast reception and ball before the couple departed for Boonville and a new life.
Emmett Barr son of John Barr married Miss Rosalie Pitman daughter of Pred Pittman on Tuesday February 24 at nine in Shackelford Catholic church. Father Meany officiated. Bride wore a plum colored tailored suit hat and gloves. Groom wore black. Wedding March by Mrs Will Horrigan of Slater. They departed for Marshall and a Flyer to Kangaa City.
