Deaths of Henry C. Witt and Adeline Huff in Missouri
Henry C. Witt, 83, died at his Warrenton home on June 11. He is survived by six children including J. J. Witt of Marshall, editor of this paper. burial was in Warrenton. Adeline A. Huff died June 6 after an operation in Kansas City. She was born near Little Rock in 1861, married L. L. Huff in 1885, and had six children. The family resided in Saline County before moving to Lathrop, then Young farm. Burial followed at Ridge Park cemetery with Baptist church rites.

Mary McGinley, 22, who moved to Kansas City six years ago, died Saturday in St Mary's hospital after a goitre operation. A Catholic church member, she left a fine school record and later attended business college. She worked for Star Live Stock Co. The funeral was attended by several relatives including Mrs O Dwyer and Miss Nell Donohoe.

The 22-year-old son of Mr and Mrs C W Downs of south of town was killed Monday while brak ing for the C A on a work train. He fell about thirty feet when a standard gave way, suffering head and skull injuries and dying four hours later. Survived by parents a brother Ben H and sisters Mrs Paul Evane and Miss Janetta Downs. Funeral service conducted at residence by Eld B T Wharton and burial at Ridge Park cemetery.

Died From Burns Of Chas Wenzels Daughter
The only daughter of Mr and Mrs Chas Wenzel living six miles northeast of town died at 3am Monday from burns suffered the night before. Neighbors were entertained Sunday evening and children were sent upstairs to play when the 21 month old girl ignited her clothing with matches. Despite all aid the child died during the night at Mt Horeb Tuesday morning officiated by Rev Baker. The family and community mourn the tragedy.

Shooting in New Frankfort involves local feud
New Frankfort residents report Louis Jackson shot Earl Banks, both colored, Sunday evening after days of bad blood. Banks was not seriously wounded by a shotgun blast, and Jackson crossed the river afterward. Sydenstricher, a local resident, and his son Tom provided the statements about the incident.
