Deaths of Hilary Hatcher Taylor in Missouri
Hilary Hatcher Taylor born in Christian County Kentucky on June 10 1800 moved to Missouri at age nine settled in Lafayette County where he grew to manhood married Jane Catha Jon December 14 1847. After decades of service he died December 14 in Grand Pass Missouri leaving a widow three sisters and four brothers. His funeral services were conducted by Rev D C Bolton and he was laid to rest in the old Grant Pew cemetery.

Mrs J M Walker, about 44, died at her home near Waepamaker on Saturday evening December 11 after a brief illness of peritonitis. She was the daughter of S Rufus Clark and was raised in the community, leaving many friends surprised by her sudden death.

Florence Mullineaux three years old, daughter of Mr and Mrs J W Mullineaux, south of town, scalded herself Monday while lifting a hot teakettle to fetch water. The kettle fell on her face, causing bruises and burns. She was put to bed and is recovering well.
