Thomas Short died at his home near the water works at 45 a m Wednesday of general debility aged 78 years 11 months 16 days He was an apostle smith by trade and an old citizen He is survived by his wife and three sons burial at Providence Cemetery yesterday Rebecca Ann Hawkins born near Frankfort Kentucky Sept 1 16 9 moved to Browneville Missouri in 1832 married November 1 1450 to Rowen Hurst who died April 17 1986 to the union were born eight children five survive Robert Hurst Garden City Kansas Misses Georgia Alma and James Hurst of Sweet Springs and Mrs J T Martin Lexington After several years of eluttering she passed away on Dester 1912 Sweet Springs Herald

Mrs Bertha F Pittman of West North Street received a telegram last Wednesday announcing her brother T J Weber had died at his home in St Louis the night of December 3rd. Weber formerly resided in the Sharon neighborhood and Mrs Pittman went to attend the funeral.

Taft Accepts Yale Law Professorship After White House
Taft plans to leave the White House and will become professor at Yale Law School. A close friend says he will take the Kent professorship of law, vacant since 1890 after Edward J. Phelps death.
