Daniel Caine born April 28 1852 on Isle of Man lived in St Joseph where his wife died leaving two sons. He moved to Marshall five years ago served as night electrician at the Colony and died after heart collapse in Denver. He was laid to rest in St Joseph last Friday after Masonic ceremonials. James Anderson and Perry Campbell attended from here as lodge representatives and pallbearers. Faulkner Mr and Mrs Robt Faulkner Slater mourn loss of their two year old daughter pneumonia funeral held yesterday at Slater cemetery. Wallace Strother son in law W S Newell Marshall area died Fresno California after a week of pneumonia. Irvine White reared near Arrow died, his father Adam White of near Spridge. Remains were to Fertin Nelson Wednesday.

Fire at West Arrow Street Blacksmith Shop
A big fire broke out around 2 30 a m yesterday at J W Heilman s blacksmith shop on West Arrow Street. Fire departments contained the blaze to the shop in about fifteen minutes. The building owned by Jacob Fink was valued around 1000 with no insurance. Heilman s loss is estimated at 2200 with 1200 insured. Origin of the fire is unknown. Burning brands spread toward the east and the City Hotel and nearby structures caught fire several times. Guests at the Southern hotel fled with belongings as the sky lit up for about fifteen minutes.
