The Slater Rustler reports the death of Charles P. Bondurant age 61, who died Monday after a tooth extraction led to blood poisoning following typhoid fever. Born in Miami township, he lived there most of his life and left three sons Claud Charles and David in Sharon area. He contracted walnut lumber work for Singer Sewing Machine Co. Funeral at Bethel church Thursday at 10.00.

Oliver Houx a longtime Marshalls figure died at home Friday night 10 30 after a gradual decline in health. Born January 25 1823 in Howard County he moved with parents to Missouri then Lexington area. He married Elizabeth Belles in 1851 and celebrated their 60th anniversary with family. A deacon he served faithfully in the Baptist church.

Miss Martha Dean died in Corder on August 10 1010 after visiting Sulphur Springs Arkansas. Born October 26 1826, she was a Baptist church member noted for her kindness and Christian life. Funeral service August 18 at the Corder Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Lee Haggard of Higginsville with interment in Calvary cemetery.

Mrs B M Miller Dies After Prolonged Illness
Mrs B M Miller dies at home near Sweet Springs after a long illness from cancer of the liver and malaria fever. She was 55. The funeral was held at South Fork cemetery with Rev H Carter of Sweet Springs officiating. She is survived by her husband and five children.
Deaths of Albert Horner and Jefferies Infant
Albert Horner, a noted farmer from New Frankfort, died Tuesday in Lafayette county with few details provided. A nine month old daughter of Mr and Mrs W L Jefferies died of summer complaint at their home south of town Wednesday evening. The infant was buried yesterday in Blue Lick cemetery.

The Salem churchyard tent meeting of Christian and Shiloh Methodist congregations ended Sunday night after three weeks of unity and revival. Evangelist Rev H M Yancey drew large crowds with sermons noted as a strong anti liquor appeal. Prof Patterson led music with a forty to fifty voice choir and instrumental. Eleven baptisms at the creek, plus more at night, and thirty six new members received into the Christian and Methodist churches. A farewell sermon, a $50 purse gift to Rev Burgess, and a lasting sense of community closure marked the event.
