Beulah Ontario graduate Beulah Frederick J W Bickford earned a law degree with high honors from Queen's University Kingston Ontario. He holds a BA from Manitoba 1962 and MA from Manitoba 1968, taught at Portage Collegiate, now articling with a Sudbury firm. He is the son of Mr and Mrs John H Bickford of Beulah Manitoba.

Golden Age Group Meets at Community Centre
The Golden Age Club gathered at the Community Centre last Wednesday afternoon with 30 members from Beulah Isabella Arrow River Willon and local. Three birthdays were announced John O Callaghan and Hugh Walker present to receive their gifts John Wythe was absent. Humorous readings were given by Mrs L Leland and Mrs J Stowe. A Bingo game was run by Mrs J Cook and Mrs J Collier. A sympathy card was signed for Mrs G Reynolds whose brother died in England. A Scrambled names game led to partners for tea. Grace was sung and a pot luck lunch enjoyed with tea refills. Cleanup was done by many hands. Members will be phoned about plans for the next meeting.
Birdtail River School Board Meets Finds 1971 Appointments Made
Crandall hosted the Birdtail River School Division No. 38 board meeting on October 21 1971 with trustees Waddell Butcher Fulton Rapley Hames Falloon Hyndman Fouillard Armitage Randell in attendance. A list of items includes by law notices regional meetings invitations facility use for art and band programs at Hamiota and Birtle Collegiate centers and multiple winter season activities and clubs. The minutes approve September 30 1971 minutes appointments of head teachers and vice principals for 1971 72 school year and plan to reduce two bus routes.

Hospital Board Sets Ambulance Plan for Hamiota
At the October 21 meeting the Hospital Govern Board approved ambulance operation policies and a new garage north of the hospital. A C W Meet MINIOTA Holds Oct 18 at Wadham Home
Eight members attended the A C W meet at Mrs Wadham's home on October 18. A $20 donation to missions was received from the Explorers. Quilt blocks are due at the November 15 meeting at Mrs Argue's home.
