Amy Shepherd Exchange Vows At Beulah United Church

Amy Shepherd and Lawrence Lynn wed at Beulah United Church on October 23 1965 at 2 30 pm in a double ring ceremony. Rev Murdock officiated with organist Mrs J Chisholm and soloist Mrs B Medd. The bride wore chrome spun taffeta with lace and a beaded organza rose headpiece, carried four pink roses. Attendants wore turquoise and gold, with sprayed carnations as bouquets. Best man was Bob Evans. ushers Bill and Bob Sawyer. Reception in Beulah Community Hall. The couple will reside in Beulah Manitoba.

Miniota Blood Donor Clinic Planned by Local Group

Mr G A Fearnall of the Red Cross Blood Donor Service attends a meeting led by Jim Reynolds to organize a clinic at the Collegiate Auditorium. The event runs Tuesday November 30 from 2 30 to 5 30 pm and 7 to 9 pm with growing demand as open heart surgery expands. In Manitoba 1200 bottles of blood are needed weekly for all types and 23000 patients received transfusions last year.

Wynona Ladies Club Meeting Sets Charitable Donations

Mrs George Peel led Wynona Ladies Club at Wynona Community Centre in November with donations approved for Virden Retarded Children's School Miniota Cemetery Salvation Army Children's Aid Society New Rink Fund and Student Council stage curtains. Plans for a Pot Luck dinner December 1 and next meeting will feature a toy for hospital patients.

25th Anniversary Celebration For Law Reynolds Family

The Reynolds couple hosted their 25th wedding anniversary at home on Monday evening November 1. Guests were greeted with a welcome song and a skit titled A Shot Gun Wedding. L. Craig and E. Stowe led, with C. Williams delivering the address. Lawrence gave thanks after the group sang For They Are Jolly Good Fellows before lunch concluded the pleasant evening.

Miniota UCW Meet Sets Christmas Plans and Bursaries

A U C W meeting in the church led by Mrs. A. Armitage reviewed Advent study from Chapter 8 and Morality Spectrum. Miss Beulah Bourns spoke on Korea with slides. a PCTC report, hospital parcels for five day patients, and a December 3 bazaar were announced.

Messengers Meet at School for Friday Afternoon Gathering

The Messenger meeting convened at the school on Friday afternoon. Officers appointed include President Wendy Taal, Vice-President Kirton, Secretary Sandeneer, Treasurer Brenda Friendshiend and Ron Gardham. Leaders assistants Leah O Callaghan and Monica Trout. Members enjoyed Geography chapters and The Chinese Lady followed by a Chinese quiz and game. The session closed with prayer.

Crandall Community Rink Sets 1965-66 Board

The Crandall community rink held its annual meeting on Wednesday November 3 and an organizing session on Friday November 5. Officers for 1965-66 were President Stan Coupe, Secretary Treasurer Rod Lewis, with R Gunson J Smith and J Butler as board members. The financial report showed income 1266.26 dollars, expenses 1123.38 dollars, profit 142.88 dollars, with 1424.94 dollars on hand. A poultry bingo was approved for Wednesday November 17.

Crandall CGIT Reorganizes For 1965 66 Term

On November 3 at 8 00 pm in the church parlors fifteen girls and Mrs H Hyndman organized the Crandall CGIT for the 1965 66 term. With no permanent leaders available older girls and mothers will assist. Officers include President Sandra Van Buskirk Vice President Betty Ann Smith Secretary Hazel Ariss Treasurer Yvonne Eastcott Reporter Elaine Webber. Game Worship and Lunch committees were formed and plans discussed for selling Christmas cards and the Vesper Service. The meeting closed with Taps.
