Social Evening Marks Farewell For Shamrock Hall
About 120 Shamrock district residents and former residents gathered at the Isabella Community Centre on Friday for a Turkey dinner and social dancing. Shamrock Hall, built in 1934 by local effort, long hosted community events and dances but has seen reduced use recently and was sold. the Friday gathering may serve as a final farewell to the hall and its memories.

Miller Couple Feted At Community Centre Shower
A large gathering at the Community Centre honored Mr. and Mrs. Barrie Miller with a mixed shower on Wednesday evening. Guests escorted the couple to their seats as corsages were given to the bride, her mother Mrs. Morton, and Mrs. Miller. Charlie Nickel read an address while Angus and Chriss Norrie presented a decorated watering can filled with gifts. Barrie expressed thanks for the kind wishes and gifts as friends then sang For They Are Jolly Good Fellows before a light lunch was served.
