Miniota 4-H Club Achieves Night Celebrates May 12
Eighteen red, one blue, and one white ribbon awards given to Miniota Merry Homemakers 4-H Club at the achievement night in the Community Centre. Sharon Bryant presided as club president and welcomed guests as reports were heard from Linda Goodwin and Patsy Wiens. Demonstrations included "Slip ons" and "Tidy Corners" by members, and "Sitting Safely" by Shona Leland and Linda Goodwin. Gifts were presented to leaders, and Mona Morton received a 4-H pin for five years of work. The event featured musical interludes, a dress revue preview, and a closing lunch.

Miniota Community Centre Holds Annual Meeting
The nineteenth annual meeting of the Miniota Community Centre reports 16 members present and a financial year with gross receipts of 10 425.09 and expenses 8 625.26 leaving 2 276.97 cash on hand. New two year directors are S. Taylor Russ Leland and Keith Armitage with Mrs Wes Leland as W I representative. The drive to build a new skating rink continues with funds directed to the project including a planned $1500 expenditure.

Borland couple feted at school auditorium event
Friends gathered Monday evening in the school auditorium to honor Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Borland on their recent marriage. J Walker led, court whist prize winners included Mrs. Garnet Johnston and Mr. Chas Lee, while Mrs. Wallace Hyndman and Mr. Garnet Johnston were low.
