Explorers Hold Party at Holy Trinity Church
The Minota Explorers closed their season May 3 at 7 30 p m in Holy Trinity Church. Shirley Armitage received awards for perfect attendance and uniform, Gerrie Taylor for perfect attendance, and Sheri Leland Helen Wythe earned honors. Stripes for Sunday School were handed out to the girls. red stripes to 1st year campers and blue stripes to 2nd year campers. Third year girls Shirley Armitage Arlene Leland and Helen Wythe earned achievement pins and gold stripes. Games and lunch followed for all attendees.

Hospital District 7A Ladies Aid Meeting Report
The Hamiota Hospital District No 7A Ladies Aid met Friday April 28 in the community room with 14 districts represented. Minutes were read and adopted. Treasurer’s report showed expenses for the past month 78.39 and bank balance 1280.51. Lavinia donated angel cake pans. Hospital board report for March noted 68 admissions, 10 births, 825 patient days, 15 major and 14 minor operations, 15 hr 45 min total time, 4 bottles Red Cross blood used, 7853 lbs laundry and 11 large plus 3 small oxygen tanks used. Final arrangements were made for the tea and sale planned for May 3. Thank you cards were read from purses receiving $20. Pie and a panel at Shoal Lake referenced.

The Miniola 4-H Beef Club met April 10. Seventeen members recited the pledge. Minutes were read and adopted. Treasurer’s report showed $208.11 on hand. Club decided to sell slow moving vehicle signs. Rope halters were made. Meeting adjourned.
