Miniota Council Sets 1965 Road Patrols and Health Plans
A Miniota Rural Council special meeting discussed health unit matters and road patrols. The council agreed to patrol municipal roads in 1965 at no charge, set ward rates, pursue a health nurse and dental clinics for children, and invite tenders for a sewing machine and snowplow wing with bids due by April 5, 1965.

Miniota Community Centre Holds Meeting
A general meeting of the Miniota Community Centre was held in the hall on Thursday evening March 18. Coke Argue chaired the meeting. It was agreed that if a vote for a rink arose it would be financed by the Community Centre. Kitchen and toilet facilities were discussed. Bylaw 1495 setting 1965 tax rates was read a third time and passed. Bylaw 1495 appointing municipal officials for 1965 was read a third time and passed. Meeting adjourned.

Confirmation Service Held at Holy Trinity Miniota
On Sunday evening March 14 Bish op Norris of Brandon conducted a confirmation at Miniota Holy Trinity Anglican Church. The confirmands were Stanley Bryant Ilan Massop Albert Sparks Patricia ieien ak and Mrs Geo Dibblee. A social tour followed with slides from East Africa and Kenya. The Miniota Red Cross branch reported 280 to the Manitoba Division from 1964 black canvass and elected officers Jim Reynolds president A McKean vice president Dave Russell secretary treasurer Wayne Johnson auditor. A large amount of sewing knitting and several Red Cross quilts were sent in during 1964.
