Kinsmen Talent Night Shines At Miniota Event
The Kinsmen staged a Friday night talent show in Miniota with acts from Miniota High School, Grade 3 and 4 Chorus, Boys Group and more. Votes by donations determined winners with Grades 1 and 2 Chorus first, Boys Group second, and a Duet third. prize money raised to 175 dollars. Mr McLaren thanked Mrs Lloyd Oliver for arranging the program.

Hersh Lerner of Manitoba’s 1963 Briar team leads four Winnipeg rinks in the Fourth Invitational Cash Bonspiel at Hamiota with final rounds Sunday at 6 PM. Bruce Hudson Bob Picken Ed Shamray return for title bid as numerous visiting skips join four Hamiota clubs to raise funds for rink improvements.

Beulah Rink Wins Trophies and Carnival Planned
A rink skipped by G Lyttle won trophies at Miniota and lawn chairs at Foxwarren Bon spiels. The ladies rink club met Tuesday at Mrs S Fieury’s home and planned a carnival for Friday March 19. Mr T Walker and his bride were guests of honour at a social evening in the school auditorium on Saturday evening March 6th. Donald Kitz read the address and Miss Pat Amy Lois Johnston Edith Ariss and Valerie Bray presented a community gift an occasional rocker and a bookcase buffet. Tommy thanked everyone for the gift. The fore part of the evening was spent in playing court Whist. The winners were Miss Lois Johnston and Mr H Conpe high scorers, Mrs G Graham of Bradwardine and Mr Geo Ariss, low scorers. Donald Kitz played two violin solos with Miss Lillian Kitz Winnipeg accompanist Mr Gee Gardham was Master of Ceremonies. Lunch was served by the Shower Committee.
