Hamiota 4-H district rinks contest and prize event
Hamiota 4-H district hosted a Bonspiel style rink competition with eleven rinks winning 4-H pens pencils and pins after three games per rink. A pot luck supper featured Miss Lorna Smith from Boissevain speaking on making the best of what you have followed by a Q&A and a film on the RCMP Musical Ride. Prizes will be awarded by 4-H Leaders. A March Outlook for 1971 booklet was discussed for crop and livestock prospects, with access offered at the office. The 4-H Beginner's Public Speaking Contest on March 8 at McConnell saw Deanna Mathison crowned Champion with Catherine Boyd Reserve and other speakers rated Red Ribbon quality.
