Delegates from Rapid City Oak River Miniota and other districts fill Hamiota for Conservative caucus. Wm Ferguson addresses the meeting after officers are named with A C Hindson chairing. Leaders praise Ferguson and pledge support as nominations proceed.
A vestry meeting at the English Church appointed officers for the year. Initial turnout was small with S V Hunter as Vicar's Warden J Ll Evans as people's warden and Chas Cole as Synod delegate. A rescheduled meeting elected Vicar's sidesmen Broadhurst Corley R G R MacKenzie and People's sidesmen Aspinwall Cole H M Power.
A Miniota Farmers Institute gathering in the Miniota hall Monday night drew a sizable crowd under the Agricultural Society. Chas Craig chaired as president of the society. speakers included Mr. McGregor of Manitou on fodder crops and soil enrichment, and Mr. Larkin of Birtle on weed control and garden production with a mix of humor and seriousness.
A historical list offers practical riding advice. Rules cover speed, avoiding runs, dust avoidance, water practices, passenger limits, route choices, bridges, and general care for horses and gear, emphasizing safety for both man and beast.
The Sixth Annual Methodist Church Summer School will be held at Shoal Lake during the week of July 20 to 26 under Port la Prairie Neepawa Birtle and Eton districts. The Mites defeated Rose Lea 2 to 1 at home after a hard fought evening. Both teams were well matched with defensive play by Cullen and Davidson for Rose Lea and strong runs from the Miniotane, notably Pickard who starred and may earn a permanent spot.

The ceremony took place on Wednesday June 6 with Lyla Neelands of Mamiota as the bride and George S Reynolds as the groom. Attended by Lyla's sister Jessie and George's brother John, the service was conducted by Rev A McKim Young and guests were later served.
After a modest wedding breakfast the couple departed by train amid showers of rice and confetti. Friends offered hearty good wishes and the bride received many useful presents as The Herald extends warm congratulations to Mr and Mrs Reynolds.
Rey EcFioward Smith of Wesley innipeg will preach and a garden party is planned at Brightee on Wednesday evening at the home of James Mitchell. Refreshments and a special programme will be provided. Mr and Mrs Hawthorne attended the funeral of Johnny Lears at Hantiota yesterday.
