On Sunday last Healy Trinity Church reopened with a 1 PM service. The Sons of England lodge held their annual parade with about 35 members. A large crowd heard Kew Park, appointed to the parish, preach an eloquent sermon with praise for the 8.C.E. lodge, though the choir was absent.

A new passenger train will operate on the Miniota to Brandon line. The daily service departs Miniota at 7.05 am and arrives Brandon at 10.50 am. Return trips leave Brandon at 3.05 pm and reach Miniota about 7.90 pm.

A Wednesday match between Hamiota and the Mites ended 0 0 with the wind favoring the visitors in the first half. Bradley won the toss and Bourne and Le Has keyed strong defense while James Noble from Two Creeks added balance. After hot lunch at Palace Hotel, the teams regrouped and the wind shifted, but no side could break through as Cullen and the back line held firm. McLaughlin and Haigh stood out among the local players.

The Miniota Mités visited Rose Lea Friday evening for a district friendly against the Pigskin chasers. Play opened around 7 30 with a tightly fought match producing only one goal. Afterward the ladies served lunch and a dance followed.
Beulah English church announces a picnic at Beulah picnic grounds on Friday June 10 1910. Hathiota gala day is set for July 6 and promises to surpass prior demonstrations. The Miniota Agricultural Society prepares exhibition lists to be printed next week while Timmy Forsyth plans summer store hours from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Manson defeated Rose Lea by two goals to one at the latter's ground on Wednesday night. Rose Lea are expected in Miniota shortly.
Mrs Robi Thompson returns from visits to Brandot and Rapid City. Beulah women plan an England church auxiliary picnic on the Harris farm, two miles west of Beulah. A town dance drew youths to Rose Lea school. Rev A T Gillespie joins Alice Sclwick of Harmona for a marriage at Tartalion Manse on May 30. Rev F Cahn and Rev Shemilt exchange pulpits Sunday.
A vital meeting for farmers and district residents will be held at Miniota Hall Monday June 6 at 8 p m under the Miniota Agricultural Society. James Murray of Brandon Experimental Farm and Mr MacGregor of Manitou will speak on growing grasses and clovers and cultivating soil to conserve moisture. All are invited.
The match at Elgin on a Tuesday produced a dramatic chase as Jas Woods took 8 for 1 and Two Creeks were bowled out for 18. Westhall replied 8 for 2, then 39 all out. Two Creeks’ second innings totaled 25. Westhall reached the target with 2 wickets down. The overall pace was described as the fastest wicket seen. A return at Virden is set for June 23rd.
