Bonspiel Winners Crowned in 4-H Event
The 4-H Bonspiel last Saturday saw the Margaret Ariss rink of Isabella with Noreen Adams finish first in the Grand Challenge. Betty Johnson's rink won the Consolation by defeating Catherine Koch, with Erma Jolley drawing the event.

About thirty farmers attended a Monday meeting at the Community Centre on February 16 sponsored by the Manitoba towa Delegation Committee of Miniota. Victor Fulton chaired and outlined the Manitoba Ottawa plan from top to local level. John Canart explained the deficiency payments request and the Ottawa delegation. Delegates and signatures were organized for Wards 2, 4, and 6 while Beulah and Minnesota reps were named for election as delegates. Bruce Medd Gordon Long named to attend a sub district meeting in Birtle.

The February meeting of the United W A W M S was held at Mrs R McCaw's home with twenty in attendance. Mrs G Long opened with the New Year message from Dominion President Mrs K R Rose. Worship led by Mrs A Armitage and Mrs R McCaw followed by a Ruth reading about overcoming race prejudice. Mrs J Tennant and Mrs L Reynolds led a study on Indians in Canada. An Indian writer urged friendliness toward her people. Ten dollars from World Day Prayer offering noted. Plans outlined for the Irish supper on March 20 and another clothing and nylons drive for overseas relief. Tea served by Mrs A McKean, Mrs A M Watts, and Mrs L Reynolds.
