Brandon College to become Manitoba’s second university

The province will establish Brandon College as Manitoba’s second university effective July 1 1967. Education minister Hon George Johnson praised the council and noted the order in council authorizing the degree granting institution. Brandon College traces back to 1899 and has evolved from a liberal arts school to offering science education music and teacher training with affiliations to Manitoba University and McMaster University in its history.
