Birdtail River School Division met February 2 with the Foxwarren Elementary Board to discuss problems at Foxwarren school. Pratt and Lindgren presented preliminary drawings and materials pricing. January 25 minutes approved. Motion to grant Birtle commercial course students time off for the Brandon Commercial Demonstration in March. Adjournment upon call of the chairman.

A musical program featured piano duets by Cindy Rowan and Donna Horner, Pat Woods and Linda Lelond, and a double trio with several performers. Corsages were given to Miss Hodnett and the bridegroom’s mother. Tea was served. Group 1 of the Wis. led the event.

The Holy Trinity women's association met at Mrs. W. J. Mossop’s home with Mrs. M. Curry presiding. Mrs. Barrett reviewed attitudes toward church unity and a Diocesan Newsletter appeal for quilts for McKay Indian School and Northern Missions was read. Two quilts will be made for the school and one for the missions. Next meeting at Mrs. Ellerington, Sr.’s home.

The Birdtail River School Division teachers held a bonspiel at Hamiota on February 4 with ten rinks. Winners in Challenge were R Rempel Strathclair first and H Kingdon Miniota second. Consolation went to W Davidson Crandall first and M Gallant Mc Connell second. Prizes were donated by local businesses and the Hamiota Anglican Church Auxiliary catered the banquet in the Community Room.

Reports noted improved street and holiday lighting, completed graveling ahead of paving, efficient snow removal, and a new High School sidewalk costing 146 dollars. Harold Forsyth was reappointed to the Village Committee with Horner and Woods. Strachan and Leland returned to the Cemetery committee. Fire Brigade listed.
