Centennial Caravan to Stop in Manitoba Area
The Centennial Confederation Caravan will visit 54 centres across Manitoba from May to November 1967, touring eight Canadian regions to spread the Centennial message. It will travel with eight semi trailer units and tractors, staffed by 28, setting up on fairgrounds or school yards with regional displays and local celebration facilities. Annual Smorgasbord Held by W L Club
The annual Smorgasbord sponsored by the W L club drew a large crowd Friday night with perfect weather. Decorations and tables showcased home cooking candy and handicraft while a fish pond delighted children. A short variety program led by Mrs Stuart Johnson and Mr Hugh Fraser was well received. Fraser served as master of ceremonies. Mrs Dale Still won the raffle with second prize going to Mrs Still.

Blood donor clinic in Miniota aids 167 donors
A Red Cross blood clinic held in Miniota Collegiate Auditorium on Tuesday November 30 registered 187 potential donors with 20 deferred and 167 bottles collected. The operation used 13 staff from Winnipeg plus 24 beds to handle over 300 donors, with many named communities contributing donors.

Auditor Robert Richardson reported a surplus of 4231 86 after all payments. Four members S Coupe L Rudd R Coveney and G Shier were elected to the board for two years. Remaining one year terms go to L Hunkin H Wallace and K Mitchell. H Wallace was re elected president S Coupe vice president and L Hunkin secretary. Lunch followed.

Weekend Visits and Tragic Injury Noted in Winnipeg and Brandon
Mr and Mrs Chas Finn of Winnipeg visited with Mr and Mrs R E Clegg over the weekend. Sympathy is extended to Mr Lean on the death of his older brother in Wales. Lawrence Wallace remains hospitalized in Brandon with broken pelvic bones after a ditching incident while driving a truck. He is expected to recover. Mr and Mrs Norm Mooney and Donald visited the Lockhart families on Thursday. Anne Kirton spent the weekend with the White family in Kenton. Harvey Maguire and Stewart and Bev Brandon spent the weekend with the Lockharts.
