Beulah 4-H Social and Bingo Nets Funds and Prizes
Beulah 4-H held its November meeting at Mrs A Derhousoff home with seven mothers, members and leaders. A Bingo social raised 39.93 at Beulah Community Hall on November 24 with numerous prize drawings including items from J Maduke, Mrs Sterling, Mrs Lindenback Esso, Geo Heyhoe and others. Prizes featured glassware, lamp, truck, chicken, towels, duck, cake, and cash awards from Farmers Union and local supporters.

Heise Couples Honored At Community Centre Shower
A large crowd gathered at the Community Centre on Saturday evening November 25 to honor Mr and Mrs Lawrence Heise with a miscellaneous shower. The groom’s parents Mr and Mrs R E Heise were seated at the front as wives received corsages. Adele Heise dressed as a nurse led six nieces and nephews with gifts. Lawrence thanked guests for the gifts and good wishes as everyone joined in For They Are Jolly Good Fellows.

Born Grayson Saskatchewan September 4 1912 she moved to Miniota 1913. She taught at Success Business College Winnipeg worked at Miniota Herald before marrying Roy E M Lelond October 19 1938. She was organist at Holy Trinity for 30 years and taught Sunday School. Survived by husband Roy daughters Iris and Linda. mother Mrs J J Henderson Virden. sisters Mrs R V Andrew Mrs W T Carefoot Virden and Miss Marion Henderson Fort William.

Funeral service for the late Gordon Victor Heyhoe, who died at Assiniboine hospital Brandon on November 21 1961 at age 76, was held at St George's Anglican Church Birtle with Rev J M Buck officiating. Interment followed at Birtle Cemetery.
