Xmas mischief hits Miniota W M S fundraising

A local Miniota school Xmas concert fundraiser for the church was disrupted when burglars broke in and stole all items, leaving only a broken pickle bottle and soiled craft. The tale recalls silent policemen once used as decorations and calls for caution and humor as the village plans the season.

Rink fund setback as 25 attend whist drive social

A Friday night whist drive and dance for the new rink fund drew about 25 attendees. Poor attendance is blamed on bad roads, though those present enjoyed the social time. Prizes went to Mrs. C. E. Wythe, R. M. Oliver, Mrs. R. K. Chalmers, and J. Spalding.

Co operative Poultry Pool ships 4830 pounds of produce

The Miniota hall hosted the Manitoba Co operative Poultry Pool packing day on Tuesday. Members shipped 4830 pounds of produce with 1987 pounds A grade 1801 pounds B grade 96 pounds C grade 369 pounds turkeys and the remainder made up of chickens hens tom turkeys ducks and geese. The packing was efficient.
