Yugoslav artist wins 1000 prize for Canadian coin design
Diako Vodanovic, a 6 foot Yugoslav artist and CN employee in Montreal, won 1000 for an artistic achievement. He credits Eleanor Stuart and Marcelle Barthe for helping his Canadian adaptation and chose Canada over South America for inspiration. He aims to commemorate the 1864 Charlottetown Québec conference with a silver dollar design.
