The Economy Rest Tent offers a large cool space with chairs, cots, toilet articles, and ice water. A competent lady oversees the tent located between the Secretary's Office and the Dining Hall, inviting ladies and children to rest safely during the fair.
The item lists residents traveling to Chicago and Madison, visitors to Dodgeville, and shopping notes from Gundry & Grays and Chas Hendra. A Harvest Home picnic is planned in Jay Dunn's grove on Aug 1. Others include hats at 22 to 50 cents, Chamberlain's tablets at Vivian's Pharmacy, and various family visits in the area.
The upcoming Great First and Best Mineral Point Fair is promoted with hoopla and plans for amusement, contests, and premiums across farm, dairy, garden, shop, and home products. Citizens urged to support exhibits, attend, and back a new schoolhouse ordinance with clear building plans and public explanations.
Cattle premiums total four thousand dollars announced for the State Fair September 1 12 promising the finest cattle exhibit yet. A Green County Agricultural Society rule bars floral hall entries that already won first premium at prior fairs. Local notices mention rental houses for sale and upcoming races, with various community ads and services.
Miss Elnora Bainbridge, of Mifflin, married W Flermnan Landschulz, of Dubuque Iowa, at her parents home with about 200 guests from Chicago Milwaukee Dubuque Dodgeville Darlington Mineral Point. The Rev J H Hardenette officiated and the couple planned an extended eastern tour before settling in Dubuque.
M J Milner offers building lime stone sand stone and sand from quarries or delivery in the city with inspection invited. Also black dirt for lawns. A hay rack party in Lost Grove ended with rescuers guiding them out using lanterns and instructions in broken English. Cole's Carbolic Soap praised for soothing baby skin and sold by druggists.
