Glenwood residents report farm loan and repair services by The City and Glenwood Ivory Otis. Many locals travel to Omaha for Aksarben events and business. visits by Mrs. Howe, Miss Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Kraft, and others are noted. Aksarben attendance, church meetings, auctions, and regional ties are detailed along with property sales and local commerce.

Nelson Milley died unexpectedly last night at his home on the Ted Sivers farm near Glenwood from heart trouble. He was about 41, born in Missouri, survived by a wife and seven children, plus a mother, one brother and two sisters. Funeral is expected Sunday. Also mourning the loss of Howard Rooney, 7, who died Tuesday night of malignant croup. Funeral held Wednesday, conducted by Father Murphy, burial in Glenwood cemetery.
The old Keg Creek bridge in Glenwood was removed this week and the ditch filled. In spring a cement walk will replace a forthcoming foot bridge as part of Vine street improvements leading to the depot. The bridge served Mills county travelers for about sixty years and saw much stage coach and cavalry traffic as Glenwood’s historic emigrant outfitting point.
The national rural carriers convention will be held in Omaha from October 6 to 9. Several Mills county carriers plan to attend as Uncle Sam relies on a vast army of postal workers, noted as especially faithful in government service.

Reports of several marriages across Iowa include Willard Lundeen and Miss Sarah Grass of Tabor marrying in Council Bluffs. James Galloway and Miss Laura Mass from Silver City obtaining a license in Cornell Bluffs. Emma Grace Gantt and other couples tying the knot in Glenwood and Thurman.
Helen Scheibenberger a 20 year old Tabor college student from Page county eloped with Nick Harpon a hired man who had worked on her farm near Norwich. The couple married that night in Shenandoah after her uncle banker Fisbaugh intercepted them. Scheibenberger senior had died wealthy and wills probate soon.
The Glenwood Woman's club schedules a program on Monday Oct 5 at 2 30 at the club room. Mrs Kraft and Mrs McCluskey present the evening’s plan covering Sir Joshua Reynolds life and character with segments on Angel Heads and Westminster Abbey. Mrs Neil introduces the talk while Mrs Grover Mickilwait, Mrs Bogart, and Mrs Williams contribute, with Miss Harriet Scofield performing a vocal solo.
