Attended by bride siblings James and Lena Anderson they received gifts and a five course dinner followed. The groom son of J W Mickelwait is in the grocery business with W H Hamilton. They will honeymoon ten days in the west and home after December 15 on North Lynn street.

Many Hunters Licensed in Mills County
Auditor Criswell estimates by week’s end he will have issued about 600 licenses to Mills County hunters. Revenue of $600 will go to the state game warden at Des Moines. The cost seems high for the few ducks geese squirrels and rabbits expected to be killed in the next six months. We fear many hunters may not get their money’s worth.

Improvements at the Carey & Fleming store in Glenwood are near completion. A new 60-foot addition expands floor space making the store 152 feet long and adjacent to the alley. Two floors plus part of the basement now exist with a new steam heating plant and a millinery department on the second floor in the addition. A skylight and prism glass brighten the central area. The basement will host a holiday toy room then serve other uses. The Barr cash carrier system centers at the cashier’s desk in the front gallery. Three new glass show cases have arrived with more on the way.

Court House Clock Effort Advances In Glenwood
The Glenwood commercial club met Monday night at the F. G. Day office to push canvass progress for funds toward a new court house clock. Many pledges and cash have been subscribed, with the committee in charge pledging to begin active work. A Woman's Club delegation promised hearty cooperation and planned a tag day to raise money. The women also discussed buying waste paper and garbage cans for city beautification in Glenwood.
