The undersigned candidate Charles Kroon requests Democratic support for the Mills County Board of Supervisors race on June 2. He notes 36 years in Mills County and 30 years in Pacific Junction business, pledging faithful service if nominated and elected.
A large audience witnessed Tabor public school graduation exercises at the Congregational church. Graduates Louise May Wyman Clara Josephine Carson Rhoda Marie Pickel Bernice Catherine Evernham from Latin science and Herman Edward Redenbaugh Clarence Earl Adamson Harrie Williams from the elective course. Tabor high school has been placed on the state accredited list making graduates eligible for state universities. Other items include local visits, a broncho busting event, and a serious accident involving Miss Goldie Asman who was dragged after her parasol frightened the horses.
Frauen Verein plans 1200 feet of cement curbing in the cemetery driveways at a cost of 3200. Jacob Denker cottage in the south part of Mineola to be completed and ready for occupancy next week. Frauen Verein to meet at Mrs Lolus Jurgins home Thursday. A large company gathered May 17 at La Biche home. Albert Deitchler birthday celebrated May 17 at Louis Schoening home. Small barn for sale at Bargain Ho See N. T. Bradway at Tribune office.
Henderson reports include stock shipments to Chicago with ten cars and shippers Parker & Cain, J E B Viner, Ola Wilkinson, Robert Owens, and J A Stonebraker. Local visits, school closing week, sermons, commencements, illnesses, births, and property ads fill a busy community scene.
Prof Woodrum and the graduating class visited Omaha for portrait day. Thomas Fiend in town with gibecows. H Kochenderfer injured a finger while handling a young horse Friday. Pearl Russell of Tabor visiting CW Sawyer. Bert Huffaker and wife of Council Bluffs attended Silver City commencement Friday. Mrs Lyman Bryant ill but improving. Rev N W Wilhelm and John Prince left for Chicago with livestock. Decoration day to be observed in Silver City next Saturday.

Whitfield, a Mills County native and longtime resident, is a University of Town law graduate with 24 years of practice and a history of solid public service in various official roles.
