George Vogelsong longtime Wheeler's Grove resident near Henderson died last week at Clarinda hospital for the insane. He was well known in Mills County and regarded as an eccentric character. His mind failed about two years ago. His wife had died several years earlier. All the county news in the Tribune.

Injured Glenwood Merchant Jamison Returns Home

D. G. Jamison, a prominent south side merchant, was brought home from Osceola after a farm accident. While helping in the hay field a wagon tipped, pinning him beneath a wheel. He suffered a dislocated left knee, several broken ribs, and head bruises, with severe knee injury and possible stiffness, and will remain bedridden for weeks under parental care.

Water Famine at Tabor The Weapon Declares

The town of Tabor faces a water shortage as the 87,000‑gallon plant yields no supply. The failed well, rusted sand point, and mud filled bottom left the town council to dig a floor well about 100 feet deep to access surface water. The old 200‑foot well had provided ample water for six years and should resume feeding soon.

Mrs Shaw Injured by Hay Fork Accident Near Glenwood

Mrs. Shaw suffered a brutal left hand tear on a hay fork while helping store hay in the barn southeast of Glenwood Rawles township. The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon last week when her husband and son were nearby and she was caught by the fork hook as the horse operated it. She was lowered to the ground by the boy, but the injury caused extensive damage and will bring much suffering for some time.

Woodman Log Rolling Picnic at Island Park Carson Aug 4
