Alfred Sovernini of the Massachusetts state agricultural commission conducts long running experiments at the Worcester experiment station. He grafted Lorillard tomato plants to potato vines last February and now has numerous dawn berry plants with tomatoes above ground and potatoes the size of eggs beneath.
In New Brunswick New Jersey gonts of the Pitman M B church suspend sports for the summer and join Rev Tlervert J Belting in excavating the foundation for the new church. Led by the pastor they wear overalls strip coats and swing picks. Belting will donate wedding fees for two years to help pay for the edifice while Mrs Belting foregoes extra pocket money.
Mills County Iowa Board of Supervisors met July 15 1908 in Glenwood to review Pony Creek ditch and Watkins Ditch access. They ordered a Platville township flume installation and approved labor payments to Dell Huey and Robert Huey, with hearing on Pony Creek continued to July 20 1908.
