Glenwood Commercial Club to organize permanently
The Glenwood Commercial Club held a lively meeting last Monday night discussing forming permanent organization. Hon. Shirley Gilliland was named chairman of the committee to draft articles of incorporation. The committee will present the articles at the next meeting on Monday night January 31. The discussion followed the reading of the Clarinda Commercial Club incorporation and showed strong support for a similar group locally. A good attendance is hoped for next Monday night.

Mrs Mickelwait Undergoes Operation in Kirksville
Mrs Ralph Mickelwait accompanied by her husband and Dr M W Hoover traveled to Kirksville Missouri on Tuesday. On Wednesday she submitted to a delicate operation performed by Dr George Still with Dr Hoover assisting. The patient withstood the procedure well and expects to return home in a month. Dr Hoover and Mr Mickelwait returned today.

Nickersons notified of wife’s illness in Nebraska
Mrs. Hart Nickerson was called to Eddyville Nebraska last Thursday due to a sister’s sickness. A telegram Sunday said she had taken sick with what seemed to be pneumonia. A second telegram Monday urged immediate return, which he did. A Thursday morning letter said Mrs Nickerson’s condition appears to be improving.
