Agnes Angus Langmuir a pioneer who came from Campsie Scotland to New York and Minnesota before settling in Mills county died January 12 1920 at her home after five years of illness. She was born July 20 1886 and married James Langmuir in 1856 in New York. Survived by three children. John Thomas Langmuir near Wales died Sunday after an eight week illness and liver surgery. He leaves a wife three children mother three brothers and one sister. Community sympathy goes to the family.

A Sunday event at the Congregational Memorial School featured a surprise related to a birthday of Vortegs, with Little Miss Gwen Dylan Townsend, age 3, stepping forward to present a tribute to a veteran of 78 years as part of the ceremony.

The Tabernacle invites all to a 9 30 communion service and a 9 45 Bible school. Tabernacle service begins at 10 45 with a friendly invitation to all classes of people. D Thompson is the pastor.
Sunday school at 10 a m with preaching at 11 a m. The Young People’s Religious Society meets at 6 30 p m followed by preaching at 7 30 p m. F B Knight serves as president.
Mrs. Bowen describes a near disaster after rats chewed matches in the cellar. She smelled fire in bed and acted quickly to save the house. A dead rat was later found. RAT SNAP was sold by F. W. Kerley and R. W. Daniel.
