Car Fire In Glenwood Causes Brief Alarm

Thursday morning in Glenwood Clay Buckingham attempted to warm Dr. Plimpton's car using a blow torch. A flame ignited the machinery but was quickly put out with little damage.

Creamery Business Improving at Glenwood Meeting

The Glenwood Creamery stockholders held their annual meeting last Tuesday to review the year. A profit of just over six hundred was reported, not distributed as a dividend but used to fund improvements and reduce long standing debt. The ice cream venture started last season performed well and is expected to grow. Directors W. P. Warren R. O. Jackson and F. J. Terry were re elected and praised J. G. MacKelar for leadership.

Rev George Sneath of the Baptist church is confined to his home with an attack of inflammatory rheumatism. He has been ill all week and remains in the same condition at this time.

Miss Ayres Returns to Work After Illness in Wyoming

Miss Lotus Ayers of Glettwood, who studied as a trained nurse in Sheridan, Wyoming, fell ill and underwent an appendectomy. She is staying with her cousin Mrs. Dan Eggart and expects to resume duties soon. She praises the western experience and notes more help is needed at the Sheridan hospital.

Lane Ranch Change Hands Near Pacific Junction

The Capt Barry ranch southwest of Pacific Junction changes hands to Peter Lang er of Omaha. Carl Lincoln, long-time ranch hand, plans a large sale next Wednesday to liquidate livestock and farm implements. Lang er owns a big farm near Omaha and may rent the property to others. Lincoln aims to buy another nearby farm.
