Hancock resident H A Priest joins the Glenwood reader list while F J Kirkpatrick recovers from grip. Local visits include Walling of Shenandoah, Miss Hermia Windham from Plattsmouth, and Mrs. Cobb of Harlan speaking to Civic Committee. Several residents travel to Augusta Ga and Euclid Minn while others attend Sunday school conventions in Council Bluffs.

Wallace extended stay in Council Bluffs due to Mrs. Walling’s illness. Mrs. Sarah Dorrington of Jos Angeles visited Mrs. Earle Nickerson, then went to Malvern. Walltes plans to visit her daughter Mrs. Fred Stone and family.

Notice to Teachers on Next Uniform County Exam

The next regular examination for uniform county certificates will be held at the county office in Glenwood Town on Wednesday Thursday and Friday January 24 1917. Examination begins promptly at eight o clock Wednesday morning. Candidates are not required to write as branches at the first examination. R G Priest from Hastings visits Glenwood while updates report several ill at home and hospital, including Vera Bostock with pneumonia and Mrs Swanson near critical. Mills county farm nets 1521.01 from 68 acres as town chatter. Local trustbank officers reelected, plus social calls and travel notes among Glenwood residents and Omaha piano sales.

Congregational Services Schedule Includes Lecture on Porto Rico

The schedule lists Congregational and Sabbath school at 9 45 morning worship at 10 45 with a sermon titled The Man Christ Jesus. Christian Endeavor at 4 30. Evening worship at 7 30 with a projected lecture on Porto Rico showing life customs and scenery. Week night service Wednesday evening at 7 30.
